This specimen was lot 1526 in Goldberg sale 116 (Los Angeles, June 2020), where it sold for $48. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Great Britain. Twopence, 1842. Victoria. Toned. Choice Uncirculated." This type was struck 1838-87 every year for the Maundy sets. Circulation strikes were made 1838, 1843, 1848 only.

Recorded mintage: 4,488 for the Maundy sets.
