This specimen was lot 251 in Sincona sale 75 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 2,600 CHF (about US$3,156 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Grossbritannien | Königreich. George III. 1760-1820. 1/2 Guinea 1775, London. Fourth laureate head. Selten. NGC MS63+. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Rare, Magnificent condition.)"
This type was struck 1775-86 and is common as eighteenth century British gold coins go. It replaced the "third head" used 1774-75.
