Sincona sale 82, lot 1786

This specimen was lot 1786 in Sincona sale 82 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 1,500 CHF (about US$2,008 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "George III. 1760-1820. 1/2 Guinea 1765, London. Second laureate head. Selten (Rare). NGC UNC Details. Leicht gereinigt (Lightly cleaned)." This type was struck 1764-74.
