This specimen was lot 214 in Sincona sale 75 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 2,400 CHF (about US$2,913 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Grossbritannien | Königreich. George II. 1727-1760. 1/2 Guinea 1737, London. Young laureate head. Selten. NGC AU Details. Kratzer und aus Fassung. (Rare, Scratches and removed from jewelry.)"
This head, the first for George II, was used 1728-39. It is more expensive than the half guineas of George I. Some dates (not 1737) are known with "E.I.C." below the bust.
