Sincona sale 79, lot 1188

This specimen was lot 1188 in Sincona sale 79 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 2,100 CHF (about US$2,517 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN | Königreich, William III. and Mary, 1689-1694. Guinea 1690, London. Conjoined busts. NGC XF Details. Minor scratches below bust, lightly cleaned." This type was struck 1689-94 with (Fr-305) and without (shown here) the elephant and castle symbol below the busts.
