This specimen was lot 75505 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, 1673. London Mint. Charles II. PCGS AU-58. From the Richard August Collection." This type was struck 1670-84; overdates and varieties abound. The penny would not be struck in copper until the reign of George III.
