Great Britain 1668 shilling
This specimen was lot 1259 in Jean Elsen sale 121 (Brussels, June 2014), where it sold for €130 (about US$208 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"GRANDE-BRETAGNE, Charles II (1660-1685), AR shilling, 1668, 2e buste. Droit: B. l. et drapé à droite. Revers: Croix formée des écus couronnés d'Angleterre, Ecosse, France et Irlande, séparés par le monogramme royal. Griffe au droit. Belle patine. Beau à Très Beau. (Great Britain, Charles II (1660-85), silver shilling of 1668, second bust. Obverse: laureate draped bust to right; reverse: cross formed of the crowned arms of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, separated by the royal monogram. Obverse scratch, nice toning, fine to very fine.)"
This type was struck 1666-83 and is fairly common in low grade.
