This specimen was lot 1628 in Sincona sale 82 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 8,500 CHF (about US$11,376 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Commonwealth, 1649-1660. Gold Double Crown 1649, London. Mintmark "sun". NGC UNC Details. Leicht bearbeitet (lightly tooled)." By 1650, king Charles was dead and his son fled into exile but Cromwell was unable to bring unity to England. The gold coins of his rule (unite, double crown and crown) are all rare.
