This specimen was lot 77422 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. 6 Pence, ND (1639-40). London Mint; mm: Triangle. Charles I. NGC EF-40." Spink notes catalog numbers 2805 trhu 2821 for the sixpences of Charles I and classes this one as "Group F". It is common. Hammered coinage would persist until the 1660's and not withdrawn until 1696-97.
