Künker sale 264, lot 4375

This specimen was lot 4375 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €160 (about US$207 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"STADT GENT, 2 Franken 1918. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (city of Ghent, German occupation, two francs of 1918, extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

For the city of Ghent, the occupiers issued fifty centimes, one, two and five franken tokens. This piece, tho in the same style, was actually struck after the war in 1920 to raise money for reconstruction.
