This specimen was lot 46257 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2024), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Mark, 1968-J. Hamburg Mint. PCGS MS-64." This is a scarce date of a type struck 1950, 1954-2001. The last date struck for circulation was 1994.

Recorded mintage: 1,338,000 plus 2,000 proofs.

Specification: 5.50 g, copper-nickel, 23.5 mm diameter, lettered edge.
