This specimen was lot 70887 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Third Reich. 10 Pfennig, 1940-F. Stuttgart Mint. PCGS Genuine--Environmental Damage, AU Details. Military Issue, struck in zinc. A sharply detailed and generally well preserved example of this SCARCE type, with the commonly seen patches of white oxidation, occurring in a few spots on both sides." This type was struck 1940-41 for use in Nazi-occupied territories. KM-101 represents the civilian issue struck at the same time.
Recorded mintage: unknown but very scarce + 27,603,000 of KM 101.
