This specimen was lot 4267 in Sincona sale 43 (Zürich, October 2017), where it sold for 90 CHF (about US$108 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Stadt und Kanton Genf, 4 Centimes 1839. Fast FDC. NGC MS64. (city and canton of Geneva, four centimes of 1839. About uncirculated.)"

In 1848, Geneva was incorporated into the reformed Swiss Confederation and coinage for the individual cantons ceased.

Recorded mintage: 331,000.

Specification: billon.
