Geneva 1729 2 quarts
This specimen was lot 5230 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$151 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 2 Quarts (1/2 Sol oder 6 Deniers) 1729, Genf. Silberabschlag. Schrötlingsfehler. Schön-sehr schön. (Switzerland, city and canton of Geneva, two quarts or half sol of 1729, Geneva mint, struck in silver. Rare, Flan flaw, Fine-Very Fine.)"
This type was struck in billon (KM 65) and silver (KM 65a) 1720-22 and 1725-30. One thaler was 96 sols and one sol was four quarts.
