Sincona sale 102, lot 5207

This specimen was lot 5207 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 120 CHF (about US$181 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Genf/Genève, Stadt und Kanton, 3 Quarts 1594, Genf. Mzz. G. Selten. Gutes sehr schön. (Switzerland, city and canton of Geneva, three quarts of 1594, Geneva mint. Rare, Good Very Fine.)"

Three quarts was nine deniers or ¾ sol. This type is listed for 1593-99.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.30 g, billon, 20 mm diameter, this specimen 1.47 g.
