This specimen was lot 24492 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2018), where it sold for $2,640. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Gelders. Eagle Daalder, ND (1584). NGC VF Details--Holed. RARE. Holed, toned." This type also comes dated 1584. The reverse refers to emperor Rudolf II but conspicuously omits Gelderland's nominal overlord, Philip II of Spain.
