Sincona sale 90, lot 1025

This specimen was lot 1025 in Sincona sale 90 (Zürich, May 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Fürstenberg, Fürstentum, Joseph Wenzel, 1762-1823. 1/24 Konventionstaler 1772 G, Günzburg. Selten. Sehr schön. (Germany, principality of Fürstenberg, Joseph Wenzel, 1762-1823, 1/24 convention thaler of 1772, Günzburg mint. Rare, Very fine.)"

This one year type was struck at the Austrian mint of Günzburg along with a half kreuzer, kreuzer, three kreuzer, 1/48 thaler and a ducat. The principality was mediatized by Napoleon in 1804 and handed over to Baden.
