This specimen was lot 2999 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $154.70. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRENCH INDOCHINA: AR 20 cents, 1914-A, brilliant white with just a hint of peripheral tone, NGC graded MS62." This twenty cent piece is one of a type issued for French Indochina during 1898-1903, 1908-16. The type was reduced to 5.4 grams in 1895 and issued in that form until 1898, when the fineness was reduced to .835. French Indochina was occupied by the Japanese in 1940.

Recorded mintage: 2,500,000, the most common date.
