Steve Album sale 51, lot 3656

This specimen was lot 3656 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "FRENCH INDOCHINA: French Colony, AR 20 centimes, 1911-A, Paris Mint, a lovely example, PCGS graded MS63, ex Howard A. Daniel III Collection." This type was struck 1898-1903, 1908-16 for French Indochina, a region of southeast Asia now comprising Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. This is a common date. The subsequent issue of 1920 (KM 14) was only 0.400 fine.

Recorded mintage: 2,340,000.
