This specimen was lot 57884 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. Freiburg. 2 Kreuzer, 1715. NGC AU-50." The auctioneers incorrectly attributed this to Fribourg in Switzerland when this is an issue of Freiburg im Breisgau, then part of Vorderosterreich, since 1803 in the southern part of Baden. The raven's head, visible on this coin, is the badge of that town. This type was struck 1715, 1716 and 1719. Legend varieties exist.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: silver or billon.
Catalog reference: KM 79.
