This specimen was lot 1352 in Sincona sale 22 (Zürich, May 2015), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$201 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"Frankfurt am Main, Stadt, Taler 1643. Sehr schön-gutes sehr schön. (Germany, city of Frankfurt am Main, thaler of 1643, very fine or better.)"
This type was struck in several varieties thru most of the seventeenth century with this particular style noted for 1638-44. It is scarce.
