This specimen was lot 77236 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $1,440. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Frankfurt. Taler, 1621. PCGS AU-55. From the G. L. Hermann Collection." This type is listed for 1621-22 but very similar thalers (Dav-5281, -5289 thru -5299), were issued from Frankfurt throughout the seventeenth century.
