This specimen was lot 3417 in Goldberg sale 84 (Los Angeles, January 2015), where it sold for $910.62. The catalog description[1] noted, "German States: Frankfurt am Main. Goldgulden, 1494. Maximilian I. One of the earliest dated European gold coins. NGC graded About Uncirculated, Details (Mount Removed)." Frankfurt was an imperial free city that was the site of the diet of the Holy Roman Empire. It is now in Hesse.
