This specimen was lot 72724 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2023), where it sold for $900. The catalog description[1] noted, "FINLAND. 10 Markkaa, 1904-L. Helsinki Mint. Nicholas II. NGC MS-62. A bright and lustrous nearly-Choice specimen, this wholesome example delivers good details and charming beauty throughout." This type is listed for 1879-82, 1904-05 and 1913 and was struck to the standard of a French gold ten francs.
Recorded mintage: 102,000, a scarce date.
