Estonia 1673 4 ore
This specimen was lot 11061 in Stack's Bowers June 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Copenhagen, June 2026), where it sold for €69 (about US$80). The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. Reval (Estonia). 4 Öre, 1673. Reval Mint. Karl XI. NGC EF Details--Environmental Damage. Better date. From the L.E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck 1671, 1673, 1674 and likely traded equal to the similar four ore struck in Sweden. The Swedes conquered Estonia from the Livonian Knights early in the sixteenth century. Peter the Great greatly desired possession of Estonia and occupied it in 1710; the Swedes formally ceded it to him in 1721. It remained Russian until after World War One.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
