This specimen was lot 30667 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $1,527.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Erfurt. Swedish Occupation - Gustav Adolf II Taler 1631 XF45 NGC. A large example commemorating the Swedish and Protestant victory at Breitenfeld. The obverse image depicts beautiful sun rays surrounding the name of God and the reverse features an inscription with date. A beautiful type with darkened patina surrounding the coin's devices and very attractive, all-over eye appeal." Other Erfurt thalers issued by the Swedish include Dav-4544, Dav-4546, -4547, -4548, -5270 and -5272.
