This specimen was lot 404 in Jean Elsen sale 165 (Brussels, June 2026), where it sold for €2,200 (about US$3,030 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ANGLETERRE, Eadgar (959-975), AR penny, 973-975, Winchester. Reform small cross type. Monétaire Man. D/ + EΛDGAR REX ANGLORX B. du roi à g. R/ + MΛN M-O VVINTONI• Petite croix pattée. Très rare. Nettoyé. Légèrement bosselé. Quelques coups (peck marks). Très Beau. (kingdom of England, Edgar, 959-975, silver penny, circa 973-975, Winchester mint, Man moneyer. Reform small cross type. Obverse: small cross pattée. Very rare, cleaned, lightly smoothed, some peck marks, very Fine.)"
