This specimen was lot 74675 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2024), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Penny, ND (1272-79). Bury St. Edmunds Mint; Ion, moneyer. Edward I. NGC AU-53. Long Cross coinage, class 6. Struck in the name of Henry III. Obverse: Crowned facing bust; Reverse: Voided long cross, with central pellet; triple pellets in quarters. Lightly toned and evenly circulated."
