This specimen was lot 1393 in Stephen Album internet sale 28 (Santa Rosa, CA, July 2024), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "EL SALVADOR: Republic, 5 colones, 1997, bi-metallic bronze plated center in nickel-plated steel ring; this coin was not released for circulation, almost the entire mintage was melted, NGC graded MS65, R."
