This centavo was minted for El Salvador 1915-36. The issues of 1925-26, 1928-S and 1936 occurred after the conversion to the colon in 1925 but are included with the pre-reform type as there was no change to the coin's specification. This date is a product of the San Francisco mint. On the obverse of the coin is the image of Francisco Morazán, who defeated Guatemalan attempts to conquer Central America, thereby establishing Salvadoran independence.
Recorded mintage: 400,000.
Specification: copper-nickel, 2.5 g, 15 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM 139.
