This specimen was lot 838 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 28 (Winter Park, FL, November 2020), where it sold for $336. The catalog description[1] noted, "El Salvador, copper-nickel 3 centavos, 1915, PCGS MS63. Lustrous, with incipient rainbow toning." This type was struck at Philadelphia along with a centavo (KM 127) and five centavos (KM 129). The other denominations were struck in multiple years but the three centavos was not issued again until 1974.
Reported Mintage: 2,700,000.
Specification: 3.5 g, copper-nickel, 20 mm diameter.
