Stephen Album sale 37, lot 2307

This specimen was lot 2307 in Stephen Album sale 37 (Santa Rosa, CA, June 2020), where it sold for $416.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT: Abdul Hamid II, 1876-1909, AR qirsh, Misr, AH1293 year 27, struck at the Berlin mint, PCGS graded MS66. The initial W stands for the designer Emil Weigand at the Berlin Mint." This type is listed for years 10, 17, 27 and 29. It was struck at the same time as a copper-nickel qirsh.

Specification: 1.4 g, 0.833 fine silver.
