This specimen was lot 2320 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it sold for 80 CHF (about US$97 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"OSMANISCHES REICH | Mahmûd II. 1223-1255 H./1808-1839 AD, 1/4 Altin (1/4 Rûmî Altin) 1223 H./ Jahr 23, Misr (Kairo). Tughra mit Blume an der rechten Seite in Zierkreis, Rv. Regierungsjahr, Mzst. und Jahr des Regierungsanfangs in Zierkreis. Vorzüglich. (Turkey, Mahmud II, 1808-39, quarter rumi altin of AH 1223, year 23, Cairo mint. Extremely fine.)"
Altho the auction cataloguers have cited this as a quarter rumi altin, we follow the SCWC in listing this type of years 21-28 as a quarter mahbub.
