This specimen was lot 43116 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $3,840. The catalog description[1] noted, "EGYPT. Gold 1/2 Pound, AH 1423/2002. Cairo Mint. PCGS MS-69. An impressive and nearly flawless example of a RARE modern commemorative, and a type that does not appear in public auctions with any frequency, making it certain to be desired by any collectors of the modern Egyptian series."
