Egypt reconstituted herself as the Arab Republic of Egypt in 1971 (1391 AH), abandoning the title 'United Arab Republic'. Coins were reissued from this year with the modified title. The example shown is a copper-nickel five piastres. It celebrates the 75th Anniversary of the National Bank of Egypt, an event of resounding insignificance.
Recorded mintage: 1,000,000.
Specification: copper-nickel.
Catalog reference: KM 437.
