Künker sale 400, lot 412

This specimen was lot 412 in Künker sale 400 (Berlin, February 2024), where it sold for €7,000 (about US$9,081 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DIE ÖSTERREICHISCHEN STANDESHERREN, EGGENBERG, FURSTENTUM, Johann Ulrich, 1623-1634. Reichstaler 1630, Prag. RR Attraktives Exemplar mit feiner Patina, sehr schön +. Exemplar der Auktion Dr. Busso Peus Nachf. 390, Frankfurt/Main 2007, Nr. 50. (Austrian states, principality of Eggenberg, John Ulrich, 1623-34, thaler of 1630, Prague mint. Very rare, attractive example with fine patina, very fine or better.)"

This type is recorded for 1630, 1631 and 1633. Altho it was made at Prague, Eggenberg is considered an Austrian state. The line lapsed in 1774.
