This specimen is of a type struck irregularly between 1975 and 1981. By 1959, successive devaluations had reduced the sucre from 25 grams of silver to copper-nickel. This twenty centavos was struck 1975-81 and is common.
Recorded mintage: 18,000,000.
Specification: nickel plated steel, 21 mm diameter, plain edge.
