This specimen was lot 42714 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "EAST AFRICA. 10 Cents, 1937-KN. PCGS SP-65 RB Gold Shield. Immense quality and eye appeal for the issue with reflective surfaces that appear virtually pristine and showcase a blend of yellow and rose coloration that is harmonious and sublime. Ex: Kings Norton Mint Collection." This type was struck 1937-41. The denomination was terminated in 1964 when the component territories obtained their independence.

Recorded mintage: 2,500,000 (KN) + 2,500,000 (H) + 2,000,000 (London) + proofs.

Specification: 11.34 g, bronze, 30.5 mm diameter.
