This specimen was lot 3738 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $107.10. The catalog description[1] noted, "DOMINICAN REPUBLIC: 10 centavos, 1987, PCGS graded Specimen 66, ex King's Norton Mint Collection." The specimen shown is from a type struck in Mexico City for the Dominican Republic 1983-87. It is part of a series celebrating human rights including the five and twenty-five centavos and half and one peso.
Recorded mintage: 20,000,000 plus 1,700 proofs.
Specification: 2.50 g, copper-nickel, 17.88 mm diameter.
