This specimen was lot 22437 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $1,500. The catalog description[1] noted, "DOMINICA. 10 Dollars, 2018. Scottsdale Mint. GEM UNCIRCULATED. An interesting issue that depicts a customary scenery from this small tropical island. Housed in the original, sealed mint packaging." The Scottsdale Mint is a private firm which claims to have minted coins and NCLT's for numerous Caribbean nations, including St. Lucia, Anguilla, Cayman islands, Barbados, Montserrat, Grenada, and Antigua & Barbuda. No Dominican coins are mentioned in the SCWC, so this issue may be an unauthorized fantasy.
