This specimen was lot 2914 in Stephen Album sale 41 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2021), where it sold for $156. The catalog description[1] noted, "DJIBOUTI: AV 250 francs, 1996, History of Navigation, NGC graded PF66 UC." The Republic of Djibouti is the former French Somaliland, acquired in 1839 from provincial sultans, and made into a French colony in 1896. The area received its independence from France in 1977.

Recorded mintage: unknown but proof only.

Specification: 1.24 g, 0.999 fine gold, 0.040 troy oz AGW, 13.95 mm diameter.
