Denmark 2005 10 kroner Fr-301
The first specimen was lot 2368 in Goldberg sale 103 (Los Angeles, February 2018), where it sold for $352.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Denmark. 10 Kroner, 2005. The Ugly Duckling. In original case with certificate. Gem Proof." The second specimen was lot 32705 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it did not sell. The catalog description[2] noted, "Margrethe II Proof 'Ugly Duckling' 10 Kroner 2005 - UNC. A brilliant gem proof example, design inspired by the 'Ugly Duckling' story by H.C. Andersen. In original case with ped[i]gree." This type was accompanied by a silver ten kroner (KM 906) and an aluminum bronze ten kroner (KM 898) for the masses.
