This specimen was lot 33207 in Heritage sale 3035 (Long Beach, September 2014), where it sold for $587.50. The catalog description[1] noted, "Christian X Proof 2 Kroner 1937-NS PR65 PCGS. Struck on the 25th anniversary of the king's reign. Very seldom encountered in Proof." This type was struck in 1937 for Christian X (1912-47) as king of Denmark and is common. This denomination was struck in silver prior to 1923 and aluminum bronze thereafter.
Recorded mintage: 208,699 (proofs are not mentioned in the SCWC).
Specification: 15 g, 0.800 fine silver, 31 mm diameter.
