This specimen was lot 50394 in Ponterio sale 168 (Philadelphia, August 2012), where it sold for $106. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. Skilling, 1808-MF. NGC MS-65." This two year type, like many European minors, is scandalously undervalued. At the time, the monetary system was 12 penning = 1 skilling, 16 skillings = 1 mark, 4 mark = 1 krone, 6 mark = 1 daler specie, 2 daler specie = 1 ducat.
