This specimen was lot 10370 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, February 2025), where it sold for €105 (about US$110). The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 2 Skilling, 1784-DCL. Altona Mint. Christian VII. NGC AU-55. Nice toning. From the L. E. Bruun Collection." This type was struck at Copenhagen and Altona 1778-85. This is a common date. The Altona mint, opened in 1771 to replace the Glückstadt mint, was in Holstein downstream from Hamburg.
