This specimen was lot 72105 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Santa Ana, CA, May 2017), where it sold for $235. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK. 12 Skilling, 1722-CW. NGC MS-63. Nearly full white with soft satin luster." At the time, the monetary system was 12 penning = 1 skilling, 16 skillings = 1 mark, 4 mark = 1 krone, 6 mark = 1 daler specie, 2 daler specie = 1 ducat. This coin was theoretically one eighth of a daler specie but is a little light on silver. The type is not rare but expensive in high grade, tho this specimen did not realize the catalog value.
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
Specification: 3.89 g, 0.562 fine silver, struck 1720-22.
Catalog reference: KM-521.
