This specimen was lot 2504 in Steve Album Auction 52 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2025), where it sold for $66. The catalog description[1] noted, "DENMARK: Frederick IV, 1699-1730, AR 8 skilling, 1703, initials DMA, rim nick, F-VF." This type was struck 1700-05 at Copenhagen. A similar eight skilling (KM 1) was struck in Gluckstadt 1702-04 with a flower mintmark. Eight skilling was 1/8 krone or 1/12 speciedaler. It is common in worn condition. The initials "DMA" are not a mintmark but an abbreviation of the royal motto, "DOMINUS MIHI ADIUTOR".
