Steve Album sale 55, lot 949

This specimen was lot 949 in Steve Album Auction 55 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "POLAND: DANZIG: Sigismund III, 1587-1632, AR ort (1/4 thaler, 10 groszy), 1623, small straight clip at 9:00, well struck, VF." This type was struck 1623-26. An ort = ¼ thaler = 18 groszy.
