This specimen was lot 24568 in Heritage sale 3032 (Chicago, April 2014), where it sold for $3,055. The catalog description[1] noted, "Frederik VI 20 Skilling 1816, MS64 NGC. One of the two finest certified at NGC and PCGS with none finer, this bright white example is fully lustrous with just a couple of tiny specks of reverse patination when viewed under a glass." This type was struck in 1816 only and is rather scarce. The next issue of twenty skilling would be in 1840 (KM 17).
