This specimen was lot 56432 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $120. The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA. Portuguese India. Damao. 5 Bazarucos, ND (1706). Damao Mint. Pedro II. PCGS Genuine--Environmental Damage, VF Details." In the Portuguese colonies, forty atia = one rupee = 600 reis = 750 bazarucos. This crude, undated type is an example of why tin makes bad material for coinage.
